State of Florida } This Indenture made the twenty fourth day of August between Alfred
D. Tompkins of the State and County aforesaid of the first part and James Hobkirk
of the State aforesaid and County of Alachua County of the second part witnesseth that
the party of the first part for and consideration of three hundred to him paid by the
said James Hobkirk the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bar
gained, and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell and convey, confirm
unto the said James Hobkirk his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns forever
all all and singular that certain tract of land, my half of said land, being lying
in the State of Florida Alachua County known and described as follows to wit the East
half of the North East quarter of Section (15) fifteen of Township (11) eleven Range
Twenty (22) S & E, together with all and singular the tenements and heredita-
ments and appurtenances belonging to my half of said Land thereto belonging
and the reversion, remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof, and all the Estate title and
interest of the Alfred D. Tompkins to said premises or any part thereof. In witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the date first above written

County of Alachua } This indenture, made the seventh day of in the
year one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven between Archibald H.
Jones of the County of Alachua and State of Florida, and Mary his wife
parties of the first part, and William Strickland, of the County of Colum
bia and State aforesaid party of the second part: Witnesseth, that the
said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of twelve hun
dred dollars, to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part, at or be-
fore the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby ac
knowledged, and the said party of the second, his heirs, executors, administra-
tors, for ever released and discharged from the same, by these presents, have
granted, bargained, sold, aliened, remised, released, conveyed, and confirmed
and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, remise, release, convey &
confirm, unto the said party of the second part, and to his heirs and 
assigns for ever, all those pieces or parcels of land, described in the following
manner, viz: The South East quarter of the South West quarter of Section
No 20, the North East quarter of the North West quarter, and the West half
of the North West quarter of Section No 29, in Township No 7, South
of Range No 21 East, containing one hundred and fifty eight acres
and forty nine hundreths, together with all and singular the tenements, here-
ditaments, and appurtenances, thereunto belonging or in any wise ap
pertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents,
issues, and profits, thereof; and also all the estate, right, title, interest,
dower and right of dower, property, possession, claim, and demand,
